Hello, world! My name is Hesten, and I have a unique story to tell. Throughout my educational journey, I have faced many challenges, but I have persevered and learned a lot along the way. Living with learning disabilities since I was young has made my school experience more difficult, but it has also taught me resilience, determination, and perseverance.
I created this space to document my progress, share my achievements, and reflect on my growth. It’s a journey of overcoming obstacles and striving to be my best self. I hope my story inspires and motivates others who are facing similar challenges to keep pushing forward. Please feel free to explore my work, leave feedback, and join me on this incredible journey of learning and self-discovery. Thank you for visiting!
This website serves as a digital repository of my academic achievements throughout my educational career. It is designed to be a valuable resource and guide for students navigating their own educational journeys. I have diligently uploaded all of my work, including assignments, projects, research papers, and presentations. Alongside these academic endeavors, I have also included the learning resources I used during my studies, such as textbooks, articles, and online platforms.
The following are a select few of the projects that I have completed.
In this writing piece, I was tasked with writing a letter to an elected official. I chose to write to Senator Bernie Sanders because I am concerned about some issues in the city area. I believe that Senator Sanders is a strong advocate for working people, and I hope that he will take my concerns seriously and work to address them.
I am writing a persuasive essay to convince my audience of the profound health benefits that animals provide to our overall well-being. My goal is to present a well-reasoned argument supported by substantial evidence from reputable research studies. I will draw from the vast body of scientific literature to meticulously explore the multifaceted ways in which animals contribute to our physical, mental, and emotional health.
For my essay, I chose to write about a Small/Big Problem. I ended up writing about how modern-day marriage is "just a piece of paper." I explained how marriage, as the legal and social institution it is, can be a sham and doesn't represent real love and commitment.
For this essay, I was tasked with creating a creative essay. It required me to think outside the box to create an original and engaging story that was not in my own words. The prompt was simply "write a story." It was pretty open-ended, but not so much that I was free to write about absolutely anything; it should be suitable for general audiences. I decided to go with something that would be short and sweet, not too complicated.
